It's my first time to heard of these guys called "Pambansang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamalakay ng Pilipinas," and I wonder if they're just Japanese haters or something.
In the article I've read online "Manila Militants Urge Incoming Senators To Reject Philippine-Japan Trade Pact" they say "second Japanese occupation of the Philippines" and it sounds totally a bad joke to me. The Japan-Philippines Economic Partnership Agreement (JPEPA) isn't one sided trade agreement unlike they claim, and it's worth to agree mostly for Philippine side. And "Japan is intending to target cheap labor in the Philippines" ??? Much more Filipinos would be allow to come over here to Japan for sightseeing, studying and to work here , and to make those things real the Japanese government would change the necessary immigration laws for it if what they say is true. But they don't, of course.
They should know (but they will never I bet) that Japan never ask you something "in return" with ODA (Official Development Assistance) for other countries unlike the US and some European countries. It's almost "give-give" not "give and take" anyway.
Besides, we should not forget that the Philippine once sent us Japan financial aids after we'd lost the war, even Japan invaded and occupied their country during the war while people couldn't have enough food here. Like Turkish people nevcer forget something about us, we Japanese should not forget that with the Philippine and Filipino people I think.

The Philippine DOT's official website to promote travels for the Philippines, targeting Japanese tourists especially Japanese women. The copy used in the main image ("Philippine wa kawada ni ii") sounds nice. By the way, who is this Japanese girl? I've never seen/heard of her even once. According to their website, she's a Japanese model assigned to sightseeing ambassador by the Phil DOT. Hmmm... Oh! She's a daughter of WATANABE Ken (Last Samurai, Letters from Iwojima, etc)!

I watched the Tagalog movie "Anak" at last. The film was created in the year of 2000, ok, this isn't latest movie for sure, but after I finished watching the movie I found this is a remarkable film.
I guess the background of this film might not be understandable for many Japanese, but personally I myself really enjoyed this movie. Fun? Of course it's not Hollywood fun-fun-then-happy-ending type movie, but I prefer the films with something meaning or message.
Although I don't have my own kids, never in real life, I felt I was Carla's father while I was watching the film, and wondering how would I do if I was her dad really.
Cebupot is the portal website for various information about Cebu, specialized for Japanese tourists and visitors. As reading their webpages, Philippine DOT seems intending to increase the number of female tourists from Japan. I also found that they DOT has been giving an attention mostly to travel agent industry in Japan. It's obvious that putting CM on TV and such cost a lot, but there's another way to promote travel for the Philippines to travelers other than travel agencies.
Many of Japanese frequent travelers got bored to travel for Hawaii, Guam, Saipan and other places already, Philippine would be able to be more attractive for them now I believe. Besides, to let more visitors come, DOT and people of the Philippines should do something now, to change the atmosphere of NAIA, and eliminate rude taxi drivers, security guards and even some bad airport officials hate to, if they really wanna have more visitors from Japan.
Cebu seems okay, but I know some people saying "Philippines? I won't go there anymore because...." adduceing those reasons.
Hmmm, I'm not sure if those bad and rude ones still exist or not, because it's been over 6 years or so since when I went to the Philippines last time. I hope such ones no longer exist...
Introduced in "Tabi Salad." I didn't know this resort facility in Batangas. The reporter for the TV program MOCHIDA Maki said "We visited the resort, suburb of Manila" so that I thought it would be Puerto Azul or somewhere first.
Then she flied to North, visiting Banaue and Vigan. Rice terrace in Banaue and the city of Vigan are really beautiful, so impressive. Both places are in my destination list even since some years ago, maybe next time...
Few days ago I read the news article reporting that 70 people suffering from food intoxication in Minalac, Camarines Sur.
The article was Japanese translated one, and I whispered to myself "Minalac???" since it rang my bell though I've never heard that "Minalac" place.
I hit inq7.net to check its original version and found it's Minalabac as I thought.
There's my friend living in small barangay in that Minalabac, wondering if they are ok now. Because the news says 3 of intoxicated people are found cholera infected.
The barangay they live is isolated from most populated areas in town, no phone line(landline) there and even postman visits that barangay only once in 2 weeks.
They might have and use cellphone now, but I don't know. I just visited them there few times and what I got was only their snailmail address. Now I feel regret and had to keep in touch with them even if only by snail mail...
I'm also worrying about my another friend's family and relatives in Albay too, I watched the personal video of the funeral there just few weeks ago. The grave I saw in that video might be covered by 2 meter high mud now.
I'll visit there again to see if they both are ok when I go to the Phils next year.
Hmmmm, BLTB bus ride again?
